Doable Evangelism
Jim Henderson and Randy Siever
Evangelism appears to be a failed project. Billions of dollars have not motivated our workforce to engage with the project. About 90% of Christians do not participate in any form of evangelism, and 75% of the non-Christian population is virtually ignored (Barna). Doable Evangelism is about engaging the 90% with ordinary attempts that are fun and doable for everyone, and reclaiming evangelism as a spiritual practice
You will learn…
- Why evangelism isn’t normal.
- How to make evangelism doable for ordinary Christians
- The three spiritual practices of doable evangelism (Ordinary Attempts)
Seeker Small Groups
Garry Poole

This strategic breakout explores one of the most powerful and effective tools in evangelism - seeker small groups. These groups, consisting of non-Christians who gather regularly with one or two Christian facilitators, provide a safe place for seekers to investigate spiritual matters at their own pace and discover biblical truths for themselves. Come and Learn:
- A step-by-step approach anyone can follow to engage spiritual seekers in life-changing discussions.
- Identify the essential ingredients to create an inviting environment for seekers to explore the claims of Christ.
- Find out how facilitators can unleash their evangelistic potential - even if they don’t see themselves as evangelists or apologists
Seeker Bible Study: Arousing Curiosity in Investigating Jesus
Becky Pippert
How do we equip our churches to become inwardly strong yet outwardly focused with people who are ablaze with the love of Jesus? For churches to become a vital evangelizing center they need to provide the necessary evangelism training to be effective. The strongest and most vital evangelism occurs when three approaches are used together: personal evangelism training, small group evangelism training and proclamation evangelistic events. These three approaches complement each other. Most churches settle for only one approach and it is inadequate. When churches use all three together, it is powerful! Come and learn how to develop an effective 3-prong strategy that equips members with a personal, incarnational witness; that offers small group evangelism through Seeker Bible studies [focusing on the person of Jesus] and that uses effective proclamation evangelism.
The Alpha Course is a highly relational, relaxed and conversational evangelism tool that can be contextualized to any setting. This workshop will give you the opportunity to experience an Alpha Course session from the perspective of the participant. In the workshop, you will hear, see, and feel what a guest would during a session of the Alpha Course and then have the opportunity to ask questions of veteran Alpha leaders. The motto of Alpha is “no question is too innocent, no question is too hostile”.
Training for Evangelistic Conversations
Mark Mittelberg
One of the keys to growing and feeling alive spiritually is learning to communicate our faith to others. God wants each of us to share His love and truth, and there are people all around us who need and would be receptive to a spiritual conversation. But many of us — and certainly many of the members of our churches — feel ill-equipped, and would rather leave outreach to a “professional” — like our pastor or small group leader! That’s a normal feeling, but wait — by doing so you’ll miss the adventure of a lifetime, and you might miss out on the chance to have a life-changing influence on your family and friends.
In this session, Mark Mittelberg, coauthor of the bestselling and recently updated Becoming a Contagious Christian book and training course, will show us how we can all find natural approaches to faith-sharing that fit our own individual personalities. You’ll be encouraged personally, and you’ll gain ideas and tools for training and equipping your church for increased spiritual impact. This training also helps create the evangelistic culture and environment in your church that will support and sustain many of the other exciting small group-based ideas you’ll hear at this conference.
